										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Gorin Events is well know for its C-level executive dinner planning expertise.  We plan many gala events throughout the year, from single evening parties to awards celebrations during incentive travel trips to fundraiser galas. With the event objectives and location in mind, we select the best vendor partners (venues, caterers, celebrity chefs, production companies, etc.) to deliver an outstanding guest experience targeted to the goals and brand of the hosting organization.</p>
<p>From a DesignGala at Fort Mason in San Francisco for 350 guests to a private evening buy-out of the Muse D’Orsay in Paris for 75 guests to an Andrew Lloyd Webber production and awards dinner for 1200 guests in Puerto Rico, each event is truly unique.</p>
<p>Locally in San Francisco, Mimi has worked with the California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC) Foundation, Students Rising Above, CityTeam, and the Center for Urban Education About Sustainable Agriculture (CUESA) to put on their annual fundraising galas.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We are well known for our exotic corporate incentive trip locations.  For example, we planned an outstanding incentive travel award for 75 guests to China, including 3 days/nights in Beijing and 3 days/nights in Shanghai. We showcased two sides of this fascinating country – the grand capital political center of Beijing and the glamorous city of Shanghai.</p>
<p>In Beijing, we arranged a private lunch on the Great Wall of China, took guests on a behind the scenes tour of The Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, the Summer Palace, and ancient apothecaries, and enjoyed some of the best Dim Sum in the city. In the evenings, we designed a stunning gala event in the Dashanzi art district and took guests for a traditional evening of Chinese dinner and entertainment in a historic theater.</p>
<p>In Shanghai, guests went shopping on the Bund, visited gardens and temples, learned new techniques of Chinese cooking, and even played golf. We also planned an outstanding day at Shanghai&#8217;s Formula 1 race track where adventurous guests sped around the track as fast as they dared. We had a gala dinner event at one of the city’s finest modern museums, and a final night overlooking the Bund and the lights of Pudong across the river.</p>

We have arranged hotel buy-outs at 5-star properties and taken guests wine tasting at private little-known wineries, hot air ballooning, golfing, shopping, cycling, and motorcycling. We have organized cooking classes in private homes and the best wineries, created gala diners in wine caves, and bought out The French Laundry for the evening. <p>Premium Event Planning &#8211; We were asked to create a once-in-a-lifetime five-night award experience to Paris for a luxury brand client. The catch was—the majority of the participants had been to Paris many times—some even with our client’s competitors’ incentive travel programs.</p>
<h6>Solution</h6>
<p>We designed a unique award program that offered guests exclusive opportunities to experience the City of Light as true Parisians do. We invited guests into a private home for cooking lessons with the chef of the house; took them on a Sunday morning historical tour of the Marais via bicycle; found hidden, locals-only restaurants throughout Paris; designed behind-the-scenes guided visits to Giverny, Versailles and Vaux-le-Vicomte (the palace of Louis XIV’s financial minister before Versailles was built intentionally to surpass it); and secured the Musee d’Orsay on a private basis for our gala dinner.</p>
<h6>Results</h6>
<p>The trip was hugely successful and received glowing feedback from all the participants who experienced “the best of Paris that only the locals would know about”.</p>

<p>Gala Event Planning &#8211; The attendance for an event increased by 300 guests in the final weeks of planning, causing us to outgrow the space for the gala dinner. With less than three weeks to go, we had to find a new venue for 900 guests that was appropriate to the client brand and was within a half-hour drive of Santa Monica.</p>
<h6>Solution</h6>
<p>We searched throughout LA County, and there simply was not an available venue that suited the criteria. So we built one. We found an estate on the cliffs of Malibu in need of considerable renovation. The grounds were completely overgrown, the concrete drive was cracked, and the fountain in the center of the drive was chipped and broken. In just two weeks, we excavated a site to build the dinner and catering tents, cleared the overgrowth, carpeted the drive, and brought in plants to hide the fountain. We designed a luxurious guest tent interior with careful attention to decor and lighting elements, and selectively used plasma screens and gobo designs to enhance the client’s branding.</p>
<h6>Results</h6>
<p>We created the perfect environment for the gala dinner, delivering a once-in-a-lifetime event overlooking the Pacific, fully on brand and up to the client’s exacting first-class standards.</p>

Three days before departure, we received a call from our partners in South Africa to let us know that one of the game reserve properties, planned to house more than half our guests, had washed away in a freak flood over the weekend.</p>
<h6>Solution</h6>
<p>Working with our team in South Africa, we moved the entire second half of the program to game reserves in Botswana. We coordinated the small bush-plane flights and luxury accommodations for 400 guests, and secured the additional documentation and visas needed to travel to Botswana. We redesigned the activities and events to suit the new destination, and even found some wonderful Botswanan children to perform a special local dance production.</p>
<h6>Results</h6>
<p>In three days, we transitioned the entire game reserve experience to another country without a hitch, maintaining the quality and integrity of the original plan. Guests were delighted with the program, and were unaffected by the change in destination and logistics.</p>

<p>Destination Management Company &#8211; 25 senior executives and dealers from a US-based company were traveling from Paris to Aix-en-Provence for an international meeting. At their request, we had planned to travel via France’s high-speed TGV bullet train, and the CEO was particularly looking forward to the experience. The day before departure to Aix, France’s entire railway system went on strike and all train travel was cancelled. In addition to the disappointment of missing the TGV experience, we still had to get the group to Aix to meet a waiting group of global executives.</p>
<h6>Solution</h6>
<p>We jumped into action and were able to book all 25 travelers together on an Air France flight to Marseilles – the closest workable airport to our original destination while still 30 miles from where we needed to be. We worked with local partners to arrange luxury coach transportation from Marseilles, and found a charming restaurant for lunch en route to Aix.</p>
<h6>Results</h6>
<p>We created a seamless new travel plan within a few hours and the executives traveled on schedule to their original destination via air instead of train. We modified the hospitality elements for the new route, and arrived in Aix well in time to ensure our executives’ participation at the meeting.</p>
